Amazon Kindle Fire, an Android Tablet has already gained so much popularity these days and things are coming up in short spans. It was all started when few weeks back Amazon released the Source Code of Kindle Fire and just after couple of days it was successfully Rooted in Single Click Tutorial. Rooting was required to install original Android Market because Amazon Kindle Fire comes with preinstalled Amazon Android Market which is customized version of AndroidMarket covering only Amazon related apps.
From Developer:
Howdy everybody! I just got CM7 to boot for the first time on the Kindle Fire. As of right now, I believe the touch screen is off 90 degrees. I know there’s a fix in the source code, I just forgot where it is but I’ll look. It might actually be an edit to the build
Things didn’t stop here as Android developers community which includes CyanogenMod Team is currently working to bring their Custom ROM on Kindle Fire. An initial CyanogenMod 7.1 based custom ROM has already been ported by a developer JackpotClavin which will be installed on Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet. However, required files needed for the port have not been provided but release is expected in coming days.
