Apple TV Software iOS 4.4.2 (9A336a) Released Now Available for Download

Last week we had reported that Apple TV software updated to Version 4.4.1 which brought bug fixes and minor performance improvements over the already featured Photo Stream, NHL Games, Wall Street Journal, AirPlay Mirroring, Trailers on iOS 4.4 Apple TV.  Today apple has just released another update for Apple TV software named as Version 4.4.2. This release as previous one is more of a maintenance release containing various bug fixes and performance improvements however some of the notable are audio/video playback issues resolution.

Therefore if you are not experiencing Audio and Video issues then it is recommended that you don’t upgrade to iOS 4.4.2 as we had reported that number of users have bricked their Apple TVs while updating the Apple TV software from iOS 4.4 to 4.4.1.

It is eminent over the past few weeks that Apple has been struggling hard to overcome issues faced in Apple TV which had all started to appear after the release of iOS 5 by Scott Forstall’s team.
