How to Untethered Jailbreak Apple TV iOS 4.4.4 Using Seas0nPass [Tutorial]

Couple of days back Firecore announced that Seas0nPass jailbreaking solution will soon be updated to provide Untethered jailbreak on Apple TV. They also confirmed that it will use the same exploit for Apple TV which is used for iOS 5 Untethered jailbreak, discovered by famous hacker and member of Chronic Dev Team Pod2g. Finally Firecore team has released the updated Seas0nPass which now provides Untethered jailbreak for Apple TV 2G running  iOS 4.4.4 firmware. Please follow the step by step guide in order to Untethered jailbreak Apple TV iOS 4.4.4 firmware.

Whats Needed

• An Apple TV (second generation).
• A micro USB cable.
• Download Latest iTunes.
• A working computer
• Download Seas0nPass for either Mac or Windows

Procedure

1. Download “Seas0nPass.zip” from above link and unzip to launch the application.

2. On pressing the next window click on “Create IPSW” option to create a custom firmware.

3. Now the latest firmware will be downloaded to create a custom firmware for Jailbreak

4. When the IPSW is created it will prompt you to connect Apple TV wiusing micro-USB cable. Connect the device with Mac or PC and Hold both “Menu” and “Play/Pause” button for 7 seconds to enter DFU Mode

5. Now iTunes will automatically restore the custom jailbroken IPSW file onto your Apple TV 2G.
