After the announcement of Android 4.0 IceCream Sandwich we had reported list of devices which will be getting the upgrade and now is the time that confirmations from different OEMs have started to appear officially. Samsung Italia reported details about ICS upgrade for Galaxy lineup which included Samsung Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note and Tab versions.
Today official confirmation came from Samsung UK Official Twitter account that Samsung Galaxy S II will be getting ICS upgrade which says,
@SamsungUK Hi, good news – the Galaxy S II will be receiving ICS, but there are no dates confirmed as yet. We will keep you posted.
As the confirmation is only for the UK, it is expected that Samsung will be notifying other regions for the ICS upgrade soon however one thing which can be easily concluded is that all the expensive high processing devices will be getting the ICS upgrade therefore the complete list of IceCream Sandwich contenders has been posted. However devices like Samsung Galaxy S might not be able to received ICS officially but then Cyanogen Team is always there to help.
