RapidContact – Quickly Dial or Text a Contact on iPhone Jailbreak Tweak

Access to frequently used native applications for iDevices is one of the area where Apple is working hard to improve. This is eminent in the upcoming iOS 5 Betas in which Apple Developers are introducing various features to improve the usability of Phone, SMS and other frequently used applications. However now you don’t have to wait a lot to get your hands-on these tweaks as Jailbreak Community offers you RapidContact which makes Dialing and Texting a contact easy as single tap or gesture.

RapidContact allows you to quickly launch the Compose SMS or Dial pad with a pre-programmed number. RapidContact when installed wont have any home screen icon rather you can configure it from the Settings menu. Numbers can be preset from the Settings app. If you are already using BiteSMS-style quick reply keyboard then addition on RapidContact will be a mojor plus. The quick SMS feature is not quite useful as it only launches the native SMS application rather than its own quick SMS interface. However the quick-dial function  is quite useful for those who are frequent callers.
