Yesterday, we reported you about the current status of iPhone 4S Untethered jailbreak in which iPhone hacker pod2g was facing some issues related to the processor cache which are further linked with Cortex-A9 cache management. Hacker also mentioned that he is close to figure out the exact cause of this problem which will eventually bring him more closer to finalize the stable iPhone 4S Untethered jailbreak. Today, he has brought us some greats results of his last night testing in which he has managed to resolve the processor cache issue.
From pod2g:
OK, figured it out, the A5 cache is not a problem anymore.
I sorted it out by doing the untether in a single thread and by flushing all the dcache then all the icache in a row at a strategical point of the process.Another news : I discussed with @saurik today about the launchd boot process, and he’s found one missing piece of the puzzle I needed to have a perfectly stable jailbreak. He’s definitly one of the best iOS gurus out there. Thank you saurik!
Another news that he has shared by referring it with saurik who helped him to incorporate a missing piece in order to develop a perfectly stable jailbreak. After getting through all this update, it looks like iPhone 4S Untethered Jailbreak has almost achieved and hacker only need to resolve minor stability issues along with packaging the Jailbreaking solution and releasing it for jailbreaking community.
It is also pertinent to mention here that work on A4 devices which includes iPad (First Generation), iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, Apple TV has been successfully completed.
