Apple’s IOS is renowned for it’s low security risk in comparison to it’s Android operating system counterpart.Concern over increased Malware over the past year has lead Google to try and find ways of reducing this problem.
The new Android Jelly Bean 4.1,has caused quite a stir in the tech community, with reports of it being a much more improved version of it’s predecessor, the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.In addition to various new features and Google voice search, this version is said to be the most secure of the Android versions.
Although the Ice-Cream Sandwich 4.0 was the first version to introduce Address Space Layout Randomization(ASLR),the Jelly Bean version is said to be the first to effectively implement it,thereby leading it to be the safest version of the Android’s operating systems,as reported by ArsTechnica.
This ASLR causes randomization of locations of memory of heaps, stacks, library and many other OS data structures. This combined with the Data Execution Prevention(DEP) enables the Jelly Bean 4.1 to be the safest version of the Android from hackers. These ASLR and DEP systems have been present in the Apple’s IOS for the past 16months.
