Apple declared current year 2011 as the year of iPad 2 but still they are working hard to finalize the working prototype of iPad 3 in which Retina Display became the major hurdle. Now Apple has announced the launch of next generation iPad 3 for early 2012 which has been delayed from current year.
According to the Report at Wall Street Journal, Apple has started ordering display panels and other major components for the iPad 3. It has also been reported that iPad 3 will feature a high resolution (2048×1536), 9.7-inch display, up from the iPad 2′s 9.5-inch, 1024×768 display.
iPhone went into the same process last year when iPhone 3GS was upgraded to iPhone 4 having Retina display according to which Apple claimed that single pixel can not be identified with naked eye. Although Apple iOS programmers have to redesign their Applications and Games to fit that display. Therefore it took some time before major applications were ported to iPhone 4 Retina Display.
Now iPad 3 is also expected t follow the same life cycle however the only major setback can be the price of 9.7 inch Retina display. Apple is significantly reducing the life cycle for its tablet division which is allowing Apple to gain considerable tablet market.
