iPad3 : Supply Orders Cancelled for 2011 Launch

We have been covering the news about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 5 and iPad 3 Models running new brand new operated system iOS 5. Today, we have been told by DigiTimes apple has reportedly cancelled the supply orders of their new iPad3 which was expected to be launched in late 2011.  Previously, it was also expected that apple will announce the launching date of new iPad 3 in coming mobile conference. However, rumors are still suggesting that Apple is going to announce new iPhone models in September.

“Apple was originally set to launch its iPad 3 in the second half of 2011 with a supply volume of 1.5-2 million units in the third quarter and 5-6 million in the fourth quarter, but Apple’s supply chain partners have recently discovered that the related figures have all already been deleted, the sources pointed out.”

According the sources(DigiTimes), the reason for delays could be the 2048×1536 Retina Display which tested and considered not up the stratification level(poor yield rates).  This delay could bring halt to the launch of other tablets which are intended to complete with iPad 3.

“Sources from panel players also pointed out that the 9.7-inch panel with high resolution requires a much larger backlight source and a single edge light bar is hardly able to reach satisfaction levels. Due to iPad 3′s requirements over the physical thinness, rich color support and toughness will all conflict with the panel’s technology restrictions; therefore, this could cause a delay in the launch.”

It is difficult but all we can do is wait for the September when apple make the announcement of their new upcoming iOS devices.
