Install Gingerbread Build 2.11.605.2 RUU on HTC ThunderBolt

In recent days we have reported you about Gingerbread update for HTC Merge and HP TouchPad. Now lucky days has come for HTC ThunderBolt users. Thanks to one of  Android Police memeber who has leaked a Gingerbread build 2.11.605.2 for the HTC ThunderBolt.It has not been confirmed yet if this update has brought any different to previous versions except HTC Sense 2.1 which has kept same. Moreover, It is pertinent to mention here specially for expert users that this is an unrooted RUU file which means users who already have a rooted HTC Thunderbolt may want to wait until developers of their favorite ROMs incorporate the update.

Installation Procedure

1-   Download RUU file from here.

2-   Rename the file to PG05IMG.zip

3-   Copy it on the root of your SD Card

4-   Turn off your device

5-   Hold Volume Down + Power to reboot into the bootloader

6-   File will automatically be detected and flashing process will begin.

7-   Wait for your device to complete the process and reboot

Thats it!!!!! Your HTC ThunderBolt is now upgraded to Android Gingerbread.
