HTC offers a wide range of Android based Smartphones due to which its ranked number fifth as far as Smartphone sales are concerned. Recently Apple is planning to launch its iCloud services with iOS 5 therefore HTC has opted for collaboration with Dropbox to offer Cloud Services to Android users. Also Microsoft’s Skydrive is available which offers up to 25 GB of Cloud Data for Windows Desktop and Phone users. HTC plans to offer up to 5GB of free storage on Android devices as reported by Pocket Lint. According to the report in addition to free 5 GB data over Cloud Services the users of new HTC Android Smartphone like HTC Rhyme will be getting an additional 3 GB of Data.
Same as Apple iCloud, HTC Dropbox Cloud service will allow Android users to sync their contacts, messages, mails and application data onto the Dropbox servers which can later to downloaded for use on any Android device. HTC plans to extent the Dropbox services to all the Sense 3.5 UI enabled devices in first phase and may later extent it to all Android Devices with lower Sense UI than 3.5.
