HTC Flyer for $299 beginning today October 1st from Best Buy – Save $200

Best Buy has announced today that it would be selling the subsidized HTC Flyer just only for $299 giving $200 off from the actual price of $499 from today on wards. According to the price reduction it is becoming more obvious that device manufacturers are calculating their pricing revisions more often based on incoming devices or technology moves. Recently we have seen that Amazon had introduced their version of Android Tablet Kindle Fire just for $299 which is a scaled down version of Android with limited features but still the initial price tag makes the difference. Blackberry PlayBook had also reduced $200 and also in the past we had seen a move from HP dumping WebOS and TouchPad with a price tag of $99. But this trend of price reductions for the sake of new high end entrants is indeed a welcome note of Tablet Buyers due to reasonable price tags.

HTC Flyer Boot Loader unlocking is already available and reviewed couple of weeks ago which opens new horizons for customization and also soon final version of Honeycomb will be released for HTC Flyer.

The official press release says,
