How To Install Siri (GUI Only) On iPhone 4 And iPod Touch Running iOS 5 [VIDEO]

We have been reporting you about all the efforts being put to port iPhone 4S Siri Voice Assistant feature on older devices. Siri has already gained a lot success and being considered as one of the major reason of iPhone 4S success. According to the developments reported earlier Siri has been successfully ported to iPhone 4 running iOS 5 whereas work is in progress for iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4G. Now things have been moved a bit further as procedure has been made available to Install Siri GUI on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch running iOS 5 operating system. However, it is pertinent to mention here that this port is GUI only and you won’t be able to use voice commands which you have seen on iPhone 4S. Please follow the below mentioned step by step guide.

THE PROCEDURE I AM GOING TO WRITE NOW IS ALL AT YOUR OWN RISK. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF IT GETS FAILED!!!!!

Whats Needed

1-   Make sure your device is Jailbroken. Click here to tethered Jailbreak iOS 5 using RedSnOw or here using sn0wbreeze.

2-   Download Siri files from here.

3-   Install iFile Cydia app by following procedure here.

Procedure

1-   Extract downloaded Siri files.

2-   Connect your device with computer through USB Cable.

3-   Launch DiskAid or any file explorer, Copy the AssistantServices.framework folder located in Siri folder extracted in Step 1 to Root > System > Library > PrivateFrameworks.

4-   Copy all Springboard folder files located in Siri folder extracted in Step 1 to Root > System > Library > CoreServices > Springboard.app on your iOS device.

5-   Launch iFile, open the .plist file(N81AP for iPod touch 4G and N9x for iPhone 4 (where x may be 0, 1, 2)) for your iOS device located in System > Library > CoreServices > Springboard.app.

6-   Add a new property list named assistant to the .plist file. Configure its class as Boolean and value as YES.

7-   Add the following to the .plist file:

8-   Finally Respring your iOS device to implement above mentioned settings. Now Just hold down the home button and Siri will be right in front of you.
