Google has recently launched first Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device called Samsung Galaxy Nexus for UK and USA customers. In post, we had seen tremendous support for iPhone 4S and iOS 5 right from release however in benchmarks Apple had been easily put to back by its Android competitor.
Although Samsung UK has already announced the Android Ice Cream Sandwich port will come to Galaxy S II smartphone whereas Galaxy S port is yet not confirmed but thanks to the developer xplodwild who has already made available all files along with procedure required for the flashing Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system on Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S II devices. Please the below mentioned step by step guide on how to install Android Ice Cream Sandwich on Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S II. In current Alpha 7 version most of the features such as modem, Bluetooth, WiFi sound, camera etc are not working. So we strongly suggest you to wait for the more stable version.

Procedure
1- On your Computer, Download files required for the flashing of Ice Cream Sandwich on below mentioned devices.
- Galaxy S II ICS Alpha 7
- Galaxy S ICS Alpha 4
2– Now connect your device (on which you want to flash ICS) with computer via USB Cable and copy the file downloaded in step 1 to the root of your phone’s internal memory.
3– Switch off your phone once copy(Step 2) is completed and switch your device back on.
4– Now Boot your device into ClockworkMod Recovery by holding Volume Up + Home + Power button at same time till you get into the at your on screen.
5– Now you need to navigate to mounts and storage option and format /system. Similary, you also need to format /data and /cache.
6– Now go back to the main menu option “install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard >” where you have to select the name of file downloaded in step 1 in order to flash it into your device.
