How To Download And Install Spire on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and iPad 1 [Jailbreak Tweak]

Just now we reported you about a new jailbreak tweak called Spire which brings iPhone 4S Siri Assistant feature legally on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and iPad 1 devices running iOS 5.0/5.0.1 firmware. The best part of this port on older device is not only it is legal but also it is much more stable and reliable as compared to other ports such as  H1Siri already available in Cydia store. It is only because Spire download all required files directly from Apple’s servers and enables you to set up your own proxy server instead of one public proxy server. Follow the below mentioned step by step guide in order to install it on your device.

Whats Needed

1-   In order to install this Spire Cydia App on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch devices make sure you device is Jailbroken. Click here to tethered Jailbreak iOS 5.0/5.0.1 On iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad, iPod touch using RedSnOw or here for Snowbreeze.

2-   An iPhone 4S in order to get 4 unique keys which includes assistantID, speechID, validationdata and finally x-ace-host.

3-   A Siri proxy server

Note

In case you don’t have any iPhone 4S device then it will be very difficult to setup a proxy server but now the app has been released so we are sure that third party proxy servers will soon be made available to simplify the procedure. Moreover, Spire is currently not compatible with the Semi-Tethered iOS 5/iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak.

Procedure

1-   Launch Cydia on your jailbroken device running iOS 5.0/5.0.1 firmware.

2-   Go to the Search Tab and input “Spire“.

3-   Click on “Spire” found in search results of step 2 and then Press the “Install” button shown in Top right corner of below mentioned picture.

4-   Spire app will require 100MB space in order to download install Siri related files from Apple servers to your iDevice.

5-   Once it is installed on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad 1, you need restart device which will offcourse require tethered boot with the help of Redsnow.

6-   Once you device is rebooted, open Settings.app and go into the Spire tab.

7-   Once you are in Spire tab, you will find an input filed to enter a “Proxy Host”. As i mentioned above, this can be your own created proxy server address or a third party proxy server address which is expected to be available in coming days.

8-   Spire jailbreak app is now fully configured. We will keep you updated as soon as the third proxy servers are available for Spire.
