Just in case if you are an iPhone 3GS owner and feel deprived of FaceTime service, built-in video calling feature officially comes with iPhone 4 then Jailbreak community is here to help you out. Now a Cydia application called Faceit released by iPhoneIslam let you activate FaceTime functionality on your iPhone 3GS. So if you want to enable FaceTime calling option on iPhone 3GS then all you need to have is a Jailbroken iPhone 3GS. The best part of this application is it also works in unsupported countries.
Whats Needed
You need to have a Jailbroken iPhone 3GS. If you have not done it yet then visit our posts on how to Jailbreak using iPhone using TinyUmbrella, SnowBreeze, PwnageTool, Redsn0w or JailbreakMe.
Procedure
1- Launch cydia app on your homescreen.
2- Once in manage, tap on Sources
3- In the sources, press edit button and add “http://apps.iphoneislam.com” repo/source.
4- Once done, go to Cydia search and type FaceIt in the search field and select as per your iOS Firmware.
5- Now download and install FaceIt 3GS and wait for the installation to complete.
6- Once the installation is finished, exit Cydia and go to Settings > Phone and turn the FaceTime toggle on.
You can now enjoy FaceTime calls on your iPhone 3GS.
