LG is putting all the efforts to enhance the capabilities of their 3D based smartphones in order to widen the consumer adoption of 3D devices as gaming platforms. Last time LG offered Optimus 3D device running dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor along with 5-megapixel camera on the back capable of 1080p@24fps (2D), 720p@30fps (3D) for video.
This time LG is ready to unveil another smartphone with cool new game conversion engine at IFA 2011 in next wee which is going to be the world’s first OpenGL-based 2D to 3D game conversion engine available on a smartphone platform.
3D Game Conversion Engine is going to benefit both developers and 3D Game users. Companies who are already famous in 2D games will be able to upgrade offer its 3D version without spending much money and time. Conversion is going to be very easy for users. All you need to do is to install 3D Game Converter and just with a single click users will be able to get 3D experience of previously purchased 2D games by activating the 3D Game Converter. However, users can still be able to revert back to 2D mode by using same method.

The 3D Game Converter will be part of first Maintenance Release (MR) of the LG Optimus 3D smartphone starting this October.
