Windows Phone 7.5 Mango “friends and family” Official Update Available

Recently we reported you through Microsoft official press release about launching of Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update in couple of weeks time. Users who have been waiting for this official Mango update now don’t have to wait any more as Microsoft has already started rolling out the Windows Phone Mango update to retail Windows Phone devices. However, the most interesting part of this update is the title given by Microsoft called “Mango friends and family bundle” which we have not seen before and doesn’t have the Mango part.

However, after detailed investigation by Windows Phone NZ  it has been found update will be completed in two phases. In first phase which is now available in Zune, it will automatically clean up any devices which contains beta versions loaded onto them. You can also notice in above mentioned picture which says “This is the first of two updates which will clean any beta update provisioning on your phone so that it can begin receiving updates from production Microsoft update servers“.

It is going to be a fantastic news for those who have been upgraded to Mango through an unofficial version and lost their NoDo backup because now they don’t require to roll back to NoDo to go back to Mango which is pretty much expected.

We have also reported you that AT&T is also planning to start rolling out Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update from 27 September. gMaps ProWhatsApp,WeatherLive,  Mehdoh Twitter ClientGchat, eBay Apps have already been released withWindows Phone 7.5 Mango support.
