What if you get the Desktop Recycle Bin like tools on your Android smartphone? Well Thanks to developers who come up with one of the most desired app called Undelete Beta which allows you to recover your deleted data on Android devices. Application was actually updated on 18 Nov 2011 but credit goes to folks over AddictiveTips who initially reviewed Undelete Beta app in one of their post.

From Android Market:

Welcome to the open beta of our newest root application – Undelete for Android, an application for root users that allows you to recover any type of deleted file from your SD card or internal storage. This is the first application of its kind on Android.

Features:

– Fast scanning logic
– Restore any file that has not been written over
– Securely wipe/shred files
– Works with images, video, music, archives and binaries

Application has been successfully tested on Incredible S, Nexus S, Xoom, Transformer, Sensation, Galaxy S I/II, Galaxy Ace, Desire devices as confirmed on Android Market website. Moreover, there are chances that some of the deleted files you may find in scan results but won’t recover just because of data corruption.

You can download the Undelete Beta App from Android Market but developer has already mentioned that they won’t held responsible if installing this app brings any harm to your smartphone. However, you still need a rooted smartphone in order to get this app running on your device.
