Tweet From Anywhere In OS X Lion

We have been covering stories about taking iOS features and putting them into OS X Lion like AutoHide ScrollBar feature. Today, we are going to discuss about another iOS feature which has been now integreted in OS X Lion Operating system. This time OS X Lion has picked up the feature from iOS 5, an unreleased operating system for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch.

New Twitter integration feature in OS X Lion now gives you the opportunity to tweet text selected from almost anywhere.  Mac OS X Lion offers a new system-wide feature for all applications that support Mac OS X’s contextual menu add-ons.

Tweeting has become quick and simple is OS X Lion as all you need to do is to select any text from almost anywhere while using applications like Mail, Safari,  iCal, iChat etc. Mac OS X Lion will automatically picks the selected text and place it into a new tweet window in Twitter for Mac. However, there are few places where you can select text to tweet like the Safari address bar, text displayed in a Flash video, and some applications.

 

 

 

However, You will be required to install Mac Twitter’s official application to get it worked. You can download the application from Mac App Store for free of cost. If try to use this option without installing this application then you might get following error.
