Samsung sold 10 million Galaxy S II handsets worldwide [Report]

Samsung has just announced that it has sold it 10 millionth Galaxy S II handset today across 120 countries. Samsung launched the flagship Galaxy S II back in April 2011 starting sales from UK and South Korea . The demand of Samsung Galaxy S II was so high that Samsung could not even meet the demand for its AMOLED Plus display and had to introduce Tegra 2 SoC-powered “GT-i9103″ Galaxy R revision with changed displays. Samsung Galaxy S II is equipped with 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor and 1 GB RAM which is currently top of the line. Almost 3.6 Million devices have been slod in Korea alone where as Europe and Asia’s share is 3.4 and 2.3 Million respectively. Such sales figures with partial US retail are impressive and after the launch of Galaxy S II on AT&T the figures will go sky rocket.

Samsung Galaxy S II has come up as a tough Apple competitor and numerous variations of original Galaxy S II have come up including  Galaxy S II Epic 4G and Galaxy S II I9101 with NFC. Moreover rumors are also hot for the upcoming Galaxy S III which is expected to come with 2.0 GHz Quad-Core Processor.
