We just have reported you that iOS 5 Unlocking has been released by MuscleNerd using UltraSnow and Procedure has been posted here for following basebands.
- iPhone 4 – Baseband 01.59.00
- iPhone 3G,3GS – Baseband 04.26.08, 05.11.07, 05.12.01, 05.13.04 and 06.15.00
However, if you have been upgraded to higher basebands which are not supported in UltraSnow 1.2.4 then the other alternate for unlocking is Gevey SIM. After unlocking iOS 5 Beta 7, It has been confirmed that iOS 5 unlocking is also working on GEVEY SIM. You must be already aware that iPhone Dev Team including MuscleNerd and Sherif Hashim didn’t turn out to be successful yet in unlocking of 2.10.04/3.10.01/4.10.01 Basebands. However, they still though that they could possibly unlock these iOS for permanent.
Step by step procedure to unlock your iPhone on iOS 5 using Gevey SIM
1- Cut your SIM into standard Micrso size. Place the Gevey SIM interposer in SIM tray and then place your micro SIM card on SIM interposer. Make sure that your SIM card sits properly on SIM interposer and the SIM interposer sits properly on SIM tray.
2- Go to “Settings” to ensure if your “Data Roaming” is on. Turn off your iPhone by pressing the “Power” button.
3- Insert your Gevey SIM trey which includes both Gevey SIM Imposer and Micro SIM Card in iPhone. Turn your iPhone ON and wait until you get Gevey Pro welcome message. If for some reason, welcome messagedoes not appear the go to Settings -> Phone -> SIM Applications and choose English language.
4- Press the “Accept” once you see the Gevey Welcome message and wait till you see 1-signal bar.
5- Open the phone KeyPad and dial 112. After exactly 2 second press the “End” button to hang-up the call.
6- Go to “Settings” and Turn ON the “AirPlane mode”. Don’t do anything until you see “NO SIM CARD INSTALLED” message. Once you see the ”NO SIM CARD INSTALLED” message press the “OK” button to close themessage and Turn “AirPlane Mode” back to OFF.
6- ”SIM FAILURE” message will pop up. Press the “OK” button to close the message and wait until you still full signal bars in status bar of your iPhone.
