How to Resolve iPhone 4S and iPad 2 Absinthe Jailbreak Errors or Bugs on iOS 5.0.1

I am sure you have already jailbroken your  A5 device which includes iPhone 4S and iPad 2 using  Greenpois0n Absinthe v.0.1.2.2 tool. However, during untethered jailbreaking iOS 5.0/5.0.1 on A5 device you might have noticed some errors . Below we have mentioned some list of bugs with their possible solution. List will be keep on updated upon user’s feedback.

Problem #1

While clicking Absinthe on springboard “Error establishing a database connection”

Solution

Make sure you have disabled the passcode set option while jailbreaking your device. Make below mentioned necessary precautions to resolve this error:

• Toggle VPN only AFTER Absinthe says it’s done, or it will not work.
• VPN SHOULD error and then reboot soon. If Absinthe crashes, reboot your DEVICE and try again.

Problem #2

Unable to install Cydia possibly due to Absinthe loader crash

Solution

Make sure that greenpois0n.com is online if yes then try solution mentioned in Problem#1

Problem #3

Fail to launch Absinthe

Solution

You can also try running Absinthe from Terminal app which may fix this issue. In order to do that follow the tutorial posted here.

Problem #4

Camera roll is either empty or not launching after jailbreaking through Absinthe

Solution

If you have noticed that Camera Roll is not working soon after Jailbreaking iPhone 4S or iPad 2 using Absinthe then it is posibly due to the fact that Jailbreak procedure has not been 100% completed yet. Therefore, you need to go back to the Absinthe app and complete the actual Jailbreak in order to get Camera Roll working on your iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

Problem #5

No reboot after activating activating VPN/tapping Absinthe icon.
