How to Download and Install Winterboard On iOS 5 Right Now

Today we shared a list of Cydia Apps and Tweaks compatible with iOS 5. List also includes popular Winterboard App which is used to set Premium themes on iPhone. Winterboard is currently not supported on recently launched iOS 5 but there is official unreleased version is available which can be installed on iOS 5. However, it is expected that it will be made available to Cydia in few hours

Whats Needed

1-   Your iPhone,iPad and iPod Touch must be Jailbroken [Click here to Jailbreak iPhone, iPad and iPod].

2-   Cydia is installed [normally comes pre-installed while jailbreaking].

Procedure

1-  Download Winterboard’s .deb file for iOS 5 from here[file named as winterboard_0.9.3900-1_iphoneos-arm.deb]

2-  Locate the downloaded .deb file using Cydia iFile App and trasfer it in “/Var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall” folder. Once transfer is completed just restart your iDevice couple of times. Soon after the restart you will be able to see the Winterboard App icon on your Springboard.

3-   Incase you didn’t find the Cydia or AutoInstall folder, just nevigate to /Var/root/Media folder and create both Cydia and AutoInstall folders.
