Things have been moving so fast, last month we reported you about release of Skype 5.3 with brought HD Video Calls feature with OS X Lion support. Moreover, we also mentioned about lack of Facebook integration support for mac users.
Today, Skype has released new version 5.4 beta with most awaited Facebook integration support for Mac OS X users. This integration feature will allow users to chat with Facebook friends and views latest Facebook news feeds right within Skype application.
Just like in our Windows client, you will now be able to IM and connect with your Facebook friends without leaving Skype. You will also be able to read and update your News Feed, as well as comment and ‘Like’ your Facebook friends’ posts – all within Skype for Mac. To connect to Facebook, simply sign into Skype, click on the Connect to Facebook tab and enter your Facebook sign in details.
Mac users with normal Skype account once download and install Skype 5.4 will experience new introduced ads to the platform. However, Skype Premium subscribers with Skype Credit on their accounts will not be subjected to the new display ads.
