In WWDC 2011 Apple announced its BBM-like instant messaging service built right into the SMS/MMS app called iMessage. Now its Samsung turn as they are coming up with similar kind of message service called ChatOn. According to an infographic and supporting video, it’ll support a lot of features:
- Group Chat
- Image Sharing
- Video Sharing
- Music Sharing
- Location Sharing
ChatON is Samsung’s new free global mobile communication service. It will be available gradually across all devices such as Smartphone, tablets and laptops after the showcase at IFA 2011 in September. So be on the lookout, and get ready to get connected!

However, all advance users will which get the advance feature functionality which will provide richer communication by allowing users to check how frequent they communicate with their buddies using the Interaction Rank feature and write comments on buddies’ profile pages. Moreover, they will also be able to create an ‘Animation message’ which let them to create their own content by scribbling texts, adding audio and choosing their background pictures. Lastly, they will also be able to see all pictures and videos in each conversation window in an automatically-generated content sharing ‘Trunk’.
