Apple is Still Signing iOS 4.1 for iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 2G iSHSHit TinyUmbrella

Great news for iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 2G users that Apple is still signing the iOS 4.1 firmware which means you can save your SHSH blobs using TinyUmbrella or iSHSHit and downgrade your iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 2 to enjoy untethered Jailbreak. The news came from an iDB user,

I’ve found out awhile ago that Apple was still signing off firmware 4.1 for my 3GS , I’ve used SHSHit app to test this a few times now for the last 3 weeks and Apple is still signing it off..so if i’am right if you get a iPhone on 4.3.4/4.3.5 there is a very good chance that you could downgrade your device to 4.1 and have a untethered jailbreak..and you will be able to save those SHSH’s

So if your are stuck tethered Jailbreak on iOS 4.3.4 or 4.3.5 on iPhone 3GS or iPod Touch 2, follow the procedure here to save your SHSH blobs for iOS 4.1 and downgrade to 4.1 to restore your untethered Jailbreak.

And if you are lucky enough to enter the iOS 4.1 on your iPhone 3GS or iPod Touch timely then you can upgrade your device to 4.3.3 while preserving your baseband using Snowbreeze [procdeure].
