It was released by company’s developer site rather than OTA upgrade. HTC has removed various applications including Facebook due to ROM space limitation during upgrade but same can separately downloaded from Android Market.
In addition all customization what have already mentioned about, it will also will also remove any information related to the carrier. Live Wallpapers will be taken out to save space.
” HTC has also warned that some people may lose SMS/MMS functionality after upgrading too, though it sounds like that’s because this is a generic ROM and may not have the carrier settings required; those should be readily added back in afterwards”.
HTC has recommended this upgrade for experts as it will ultimately wipe out your Live Wallpapers, SMS/MMS Configurations, Emails, Apps and other content which is unlike through OTA process.
You will also be unluckey if you have got your Desire from Germany (Deutsch Telekom), North America, South America, South Korea, and Japan, where it has been told that HTC will not allow the update due to concerns raised by parters.
