iPad users are still anxiously waiting for the official release of Facebook app for iPad.We reported you earlier about a workaround through which you can unofficially install Facebook App on iPad. News has come out from Business Insider that Facebook is purposely adding up delays in its launching and due to which Facebook engineer Jeff Verkoeyen, who has been responsible for development of the social networking company’s iPad application since the beginning of this year, has quit his position and got a job at Google.
The developer has list down the complete detail about Facebook along with iPad applications status by saying that App is totally ready to go live since May but launching date has been delayed time and time again. However, he didn’t exactly mention any specific reason behind the continuous delays. Verkoeyen has apparently since edited the post to remove his original thoughts on the iPad app.
Now lets up Facebook takes the serious notice and plan any launching date in coming days otherwise more causalities like Verkoeyen could seriously effect their deadlines.Verkoeyen wrote on his blog today that he was the lead engineer on the Facebook iPad app back in January. He put a ton of time into the app.
It was feature-complete back in May, he writes, but Facebook kept pushing its release out another two weeks, then another. (Feature-complete doesn’t necessarily mean “finished,” but it’s usually the last stage before a public beta test.)
Now, he thinks it “may never be released.
It is also expected that Facebook for iPad application will be launched at iPhone 5 and iOS 5 event. Lets hope this time Facebook will not delay it further and launch it at Apple’s upcoming event.
