Atari to release its own arcade duo powered joystick base for iPad on October 2 at Target & November at Toys “R” Us and Walmart

Ever dreamed about playing Games on your iPad using 20 years old Atari JOystick controller that going to happen very soon. There has been a complete Duo-Powered Base pad designed to fit in iPad with 30 pin connector and lets you play arcade games with old Atari style JoyStick. The Duo-Powered Joystick will run on batteries and provide a game play of 8-10 hours but it will only support portrait mode due to hardware design limitations.

Relive the fast-action excitement of all your arcade favorites, like Asteroids, Centipede, and Missile Command. Simply connect your iPad to Atari’s Greatest Hits app for Duo, and you’re ready to share the fun with family and friends anywhere!

Although this accessory will be getting a nice response but the major downside is limited compatibility of games to support these devices. But we will definitely see some old arcade games transformed to support Atari accessory to atleast support Atari age games to take you 20 years back in Atari Golden Era. Expected price tag will be 60 US$ which is quite affordable.
