HTC Thunderbolt Gingerbread Updated to Version 2.11.605.5, Fixes Broken Voicemail Notifications and Major Security Vulnerability

If you are one of the user having HTC Thunderbolt with software Version 2.11.605.3 on Verizon Wireless Network then you must be knowing that some serious security issues were identified along with broken voicemail  notifications  problem few weeks ago.  HTC took a serious note of these issues and announced to bring the solution as soon as possible.

Finally the solution has been released in the form a software update for Thunderbolt users which took almost a month to arrive. The new version 2.11.605.5 which is currently rolling out will fix  major issues that were discovered in previous Version 2.11.605.3 which includes Bluetooth security and those random SMS message sessions.

It is expected that same update will soon be made available to download will consume 146MB of memory. Moreover, no announcement has come from HTC that how they will update all existing users already running 2.11.605.3 update.
