Following the highly popular Axon 7 ,ZTE has launched a mini version of the smartphone ,which has analogous aesthetics to it’s bigger version ,however with somewhat decreased specs and at a more reasonable price -It is expected to be sold at 299 Euros ($330 US).It is still not confirmed about the actual date of release in the US or the price at which it will be sold at in the US.
Axon 7 Mini Features
The Axon 7Mini features a 5.2 in 1080p AMOLED display ,in comparison to the Axon 7 which features a 5.5in QHD display, therefore the display is a bit less defined however it still has clear color range and minimal irregular angle rainbowing of AMOLED screen. The phone is very similar to touch to it’s bigger version. The phone has a Snapdragon 617 Processor ,storage of 32GB and 3GB RAM ,noting that these are downgrades from the Axon 7 however it can be noted that the phone can handle daily tasks still with ease,in addition to functioning very well with various other hardwares including the Alcatel Idol 4S,which is due to the Snapdragon 617 processor.
A 16MegaPixel Camera has been featured ,however without optical image stabilization feature ,while the Axon 7 has a 20MegaPixel with Optical Image Stabilization. The images taken are well defined however there is a bit of issue when it comes to low light availability.
The battery size has been decreased from 3250 (in Axon 7)to 2705,however this shouldn’t be much of a problem because the display is reduced in size in addition to a processor that is weaker. The Axon 7 Mini is able to charge as fast as the Axon 7 (with being able to charge upto 46%in just 30 minutes),however it is confined to 2.0 compared to Axon 7 ‘s 3.0.
The Axon 7 Mini boasts the same audio capabilities of the Axon 7,in addition to High Quality DAC and stereo speakers which have been claimed to have beenupgraded in the Mini Version.
At just 299 Euros The Axon 7 Mini is one of the most impressive smartphones available at this price range.
