Untethered Jailbreak iOS 5.0.1 / 5.0 Confirmed Working On iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPhone 3G, iPad Original, Apple TV

Jailbreak community all around the world keeping a close eye on all the updates coming regarding iOS 5.0.1 / 5.0 untethered jailbreak from pod2g who is a famous hacker and member of Chronic Dev-Team. If you are regular visitor of Koolmobile,  iOS hacker demoed iOS 5.0 / 5.0.1 Untethered jailbreak on iPod Touch 3G in the last few weeks. In latest update, hacker has confirmed that same exploit can now be used to untethered jailbreak iOS 5.0/5.0.1 on all A4 devices. Following are the list of devices on which code for untethered jailbreak has been already completed.

• iPad (First Generation)
• iPod Touch 4G
• iPod Touch 3G
• iPhone 3GS
• iPhone 4
• Apple TV

Today, Pod2g has confirmed in his blog that iOS 5.0.1 / 5.0 untethered jailbreak testing successfully completed on iPhone 3GS and now he will start testing on iPod Touch 4G and iPhone 4 CDMA

IPhone 3Gs 5.0.1 jb worked.

Remaining to test: iPod 4G & iPhone 4 CDMA running 5.0.1.

Previously hacker also confirmed that testing has been successfully completed on on iPad 1.

Also, I’ve tested iPad 1 and it worked.

Progress on iPhone 4S and iPad 2

Now the time to finalize the jailbreak for old devices, fix some stability issues and package the whole. That will take some days.
