TinyPwn – New iOS 5 Jailbreaking Tool Allows Custom Firmware Restore Without iTunes for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch [Coming Soon]

Today, NotCom, Developer of TinyUmbrella has released an upgrade to support Apple’s latest iOS 5.1 Beta firmware. Now another news has come from the developer but this time about a new upcoming jailbreak tool TinyPwn which will enable users to install custom firmware files in iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch without using the iTunes.

TinyPwn update: I’ve not had much time in the past month to work on this. Real life drama, work, etc have taken much of my time. I still intend on a release… eventually…  Effectively it’ll just have to be done when it’s done…

Moreover, developer has also mentioned that Geohot’s Limera1n exploit will be used in this tool in order to tether jailbreak both iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS having old or new bootrom, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 3G and first generation iPad devices. In addition to that tool will also support Semi-tethered jailbreak on iOS 5.0, iOS 5.0.1 except iPhone 3GS on old bootrom whereas iPad 2 and iPhone 4S jailbreak will remain unavailable.

There is no estimated time line has been provide but it is expected that tool will be supported on Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems.
