This Tuesday saw the release of the long awaited Amazfit- Xiaomi’s first Smartwatch ,which the company has been working on with it’s partner ,Huami. The smartwatch will be available in China as of Wednesday and the watch is saidn to be for CNY 799.Xiomi has collaborated with Alibaba thereby allowing consumers the option of mobile payment support.
The Amazfit has said to boast a 28nm GPS sensor-the first smartwatch to feature this. In addition to having a water resistance of IP67 and also being dust proof. The Amazfit will boast a ceramic bezel(that is claimed to be resistant to scratches),and a replaceable 22nm band that can be replaced by the consumer. There is a 1.34 -in circular display and 300 by 300 pixel resolution.
The smartwatch is run by a 1.2GHz processor in addition to 512MB RAM ,and having storage of 4GB. In addition to this it is said to boast a sensor for heart rate at the back panel which is constantly tracking heart rate.Users that are using Android devices which have the MiFit Application installed can use the Amazfit in collaboration with it.
Expected battery life is approximately 5days ,due to the fact that the Amazfit has a 200mAh battery, however if the user has activated GPS ,the battery life is expected to be around 30hours,and if the user is solely using the pedometer function ,the battery life is said to increase to upto 11.6days.
