Redsn0w 0.9.10b5 Released To Resolve iBooks DRM Issues On iOS 5.0.1 iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch After Untethered Jailbreak

Recently iPhone-Dev Team and Chronic Dev Team released iOS 5.0.1 Untethered jailbreak for iPad (FirstGeneration), iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 devices loaded with A4 chips. However, after performing jailbreak users started facing problems with those iBooks which are protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM) . Now in order to resolve this iBooks issue  iPhone-Dev Team has released redsn0w 0.9.10b5 whereas Chronic Dev Team will update Corona 5.0.1 Untether version upto 1.0-6 in days ahead.

From iPhone-Dev Team:

Update #5: redsn0w version b5 incorporates yet another fix for iBooks, this time involving DRM.  @planetbeing wrote a utility called “crazeles” that overcomes jailbreak detection by iBooks that would cause about 10% of images to show incorrectly.  This fix is similar to the “hunnypot” fix that @comex wrote for the 4.x jailbreak.  As usual, you can choose to install the fix either by re-running redsn0w over your existing jailbreak (de-select Cydia if you do that), or by installing the corona package from Cydia (it’s the same set of files no matter which way you choose).

You can download redsn0w 0.9.10b5 for Windows from here and for Mac from here.

Users who are using non jailbroken device running  5.0.1 firmware can use latest redsn0w 0.9.10b5 and tutorial to jailbreak their devices whereas those who are already using tethered jailbroken devices running iOS 5.0.1 can make it Untethered by installing a small tweak called Corona 5.0.1 Untether
