Apple has just released iOS 5 GM and Redsn0w has also made available updated version which is tethered boot for iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch 3 and iPod Touch 4 meaning you have to reconnect your iDevice with PC/Mac to boot. However recently MuscleNerd has announced on twitter that updated redsnOw 0.9.9b3 or redsnOw 0.9.9b2 or 0.9.8b7 would work well for iOS 5.0 GM

Another updated version of Redsn0w 0.9.9b3a for windows has been launched by iphone-dev with minor changes. It can be downloaded from here
Update #11a: We’ve replaced the Windows version of 0.9.9b3 with 0.9.9b3a. The new version fixes a caching bug that affected only Windows users — point it one more time at your iOS5GM IPSW, and from then on you won’t have to point at it again.
