Recently we reported you about the release of CyanogenMod 7.1 Alpha 3 for HP TouchPad which brought more improvements along with various bug fixes. Now HP TouchPad is getting more attention as developers behind popular MIUI has released Android Custom ROM for HP TouchPad. If you are new to MIUI, it is a very famous Custom ROM for Android which brings distinct and appealing look with enhanced notifications menu, Camera/Gallery/Music apps to devices. It is also considered as an alternative to CyanogenMod, so users who wants to bring a fresh look can now follow the below mentioned procedure to install Android 2.3.7 MIUI ROM on their HP TouchPads.

- Download Novacom for Windows/Mac/Linux from here
- Download ACMEInstaller and ClockworkMod Recovery from here
- Download MIUI for HP TouchPad from here
- Download Moboot from here
1- Install Novacom depending upon your operating system.
2- Extract the downloaded ACMEInstaller.zip to the same folder where you have installed Novacom in step 1.
3- Connect your TouchPad to your computer with a USB cable.
4- On WebOS, you should be notified that you are “Connected” via USB. Select “USB Drive” and then, if asked, select “OK” to confirm.
5- Create a new folder on your HP TouchPad using computer and name it as cminstall then transfer the below mentioned files to this newly created folder:
6- Next step is to reset your HP TouchPad which can be done by going to Settings > Device Info > Reset. As soon as your device display goes black hold Volume Up until you see a USB symbol.
7- Navigate to the Novacom folder with thelp of command prompt/terminal.
8- Once you are in Novacom folder, enter the following command:
novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller
