HTC has launched its portal purely for the developers with the name of HTCdev.com. The main purpose of launching this portal by HTC is to promote the development on their OpenSense SDK. This will allow developers to design applications which will subsequently be integrated with HTC Sense UI like never before.
HTC has specially told that developers will get an access to APIs and add-ons such as “Tablet pen API” for Flyer/View 4G and “Stereoscopic 3D display API” for EVO 3D. All required documentations, frameworks and sample codes have now been made available on HTCdev.com. The SDKs will give you the inner picture of Android SDK and AVD Manager just like other third-party add-ons. Its not going to finish here as more SDK components are expected to be launched as well.
The next phase, HTC’s dev will launch instructions and the tool which are used to unlock bootloaders on HTC devices. HTC has not announced its launching date yet. however, it is expected that site and instructions will launch before the end of this month.
HTC has called HTCdev.com, the biggest android developer after google. They have further said that more android development exclusive to HTC phones will pushed in coming days. In addition to that, they will also provide tools, tutorials, blogs, and events to developers so that rapid development for apps can be done in the future.
