How to Install Official Facebook App For iPad

New version of Facebook App(3.4.4) for iPhone users has recently been made available on App Store which officially comes for bugs fixes and improved performance. However, it has been found that the same Facebook version has a hidden support for iPad users as well. The options is currently disabled  and requires few steps to make it enable for iPad users.

THE PROCEDURE I AM GOING TO WRITE NOW IS ALL AT YOUR OWN RISK. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF IT GETS FAILED!!!!!

Prerequisites

You need to jailbreak your iPad to get it work. If you want to do it now then follow our guide to jailbreak your iPad2 on iOS 4.3.3 using JailBreakme or iOS 4.3.4 using Pwnage Tool[Mac Only].

How Install Facebook App for iPad

1-     Download and install the latest version of Facebook App(3.4.4) for App Store.

2-    Open Cydia and add source “http://sinfuliphonerepo.com”

3-    Go to search Tab and enter “iFile”.

4-    Select and Install iFile on your iPad.

5-     Open iFile and Go to  “/Var/Mobile/Applications/

6-     Tap on iFile settings and in preferences turn on “Application Names” as show in picture.

7-     Go to “Facebook/Facebook.app”

8-     Find and open “info.plist” as “Property List Viewer”

9-     Keep on scrolling down until you find the string of text UIDeviceFamily. Tap it.

10-     Once you Tap it, You will notice that its current default value is ‘1’. Change this to ‘2’.

11-     After change the default value in to ‘2’, Press the “Home Screen” button and restart your iPad.

12-  Once your iPad is rebooted. Open Facebook and enjoy the whole new experience of Facebook on iPad.
