In this guide i will show you step by step how to install and Android Froyo(2.2) on HTC HD2 Phone. Although it sounds like a dream but credit goes to XDA Developers who made it possible. Currently you will find different builds of Android available on internet but i have choosen to do it with “mattcfroyosense1.7”.
IMPORTANT!!!!!
1- THE PROCEDURE I AM GOING TO WRITE NOW IS ALL AT YOUR OWN RISK. I WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE IF IT GETS FAILED!!!!!
2- Make sure that you have taken a complete backup of your mobile phone.
3- Make sure you have completely charged your mobile phone
Here is the step by step guide on installing Android on HTC HD 2
1- Download and Install HSPL3
- Go to [Link] to download HSPL3.
- During the procedure your phone interface will look like this.
- Run “Active Sync” or “Windows Mobile Device Center” and do make sure its running.
- Run HSPL3 which will unlock the phone to run cooked Roms.
- Pres “Yes” to continue the installation procedure.
- It will prompt “If you want to install “2.08 or 2.08HSPL”.
- Choose “2.08HSPL” and Press “Next” button.
- At the end it will prompt that “Your phone is now unlocked”.
2- Download and Install Radio(Version RADIO_2_14_50_04)
- Go to [Link] and download RADIO_2_14_50_04.
- Downloaded folder must have both “CustomRUU” and “RUU_signed.nbh” files.
- Connect your phone with PC by running “Active Sync” or “Windows Mobile Device Center”.
- Run the radio file “CustomRUU”.
- Select “I understand…” and Click Next.
- It will take almost 10minutes to complete the process.
- Go to [Link] and download ROM.
- Connect your phone with PC by running “Active Sync” or “Windows Mobile Device Center”.
- Run the CustomRUU to install the Rom.
- You will observe almost same procedure like you saw in Step 2.
- Go to [Link] and download Android Software.
- Unzip the downloaded Android folder to PC Desktop.
- Connect your phone with PC by running “Active Sync” or “Windows Mobile Device Center”.
- Click on Computer “start” button and open “My Computer” where you should see your phone connected.
- You should see two Memory drives, One is the “Phone Memory” and other is the “SD Card Memory”.
- “Copy” the “Android” folder from “PC Desktop” and “Paste” it to the root of “SD Card Memory”.
- On your Phone open “Task Manager” and stop all programs running.
- On your Phone Open “File Explorer” and go to “/sd card/ANDROID” folder.
- Click “CLRCAD” file(It will not return any message).
- Click “HARET” file and after that it will take 5 to 10 min to run and boot the android build for the first time.

Enable Dual Boot Option# This option will allow you to choose between booting into Windows or Android on start up rather than going to WM automatically. In order to make it more easy, you can even specify autoboot as Android if you wish.
Keep your Android forlder in SD Card
Download cab file[Link] and install it in phone memory rather than in SD Card.
