iOS native FaceTime feature has become one of the must have feature which allows you to make video calls without using any third party software. But since it’s launch back in 2o1o, Apple didn’t allow users to make FaceTime calls over 3G network rather it was only available on WiFi Network. However, Jailbreak community came up with a smart tweak called My3G which tricks the iPhone 4 into thinking that user is connected via WiFi network when actually the user is using 3G Network by his respective operator.
When Apple released Beta version of iOS 5, 9to5mac’s reported that iOS 5 will extend the accessibility of FaceTime from WiFi only to 3G Network but somehow that didn’t happen when Apple released final version of iOS 5. However, folks over FSM have been able to discover native iOS 5 hidden feature which allow users to make FaceTime calls over 3G Network. It requires simple plist modification rather than any third part jailbreak app or tweak such as My3G. Please follow the below mentioned procedure in order to enable FaceTime over 3G on iOS 5.
