How To Change iOS 5 Notification Center Background

Launch of iOS 5 with integrated Notification Center feature has opened the gates for jailbreak community to develop smart apps and tweaks by utilize the notification canvas right under your single tap. We have already shared examples of these app in our post which includes WeeSpaces,  IntelliScreenX, WeeKillBackground.

I am sure you have already loaded your iPhone with these intelligent tweaks and now you want to give a fresh look to your notification center by changing its background color. We can help you in that as all you are required to do, is to follow the below mentioned procedure and make your iPhone look like no one have.

Whats Needed

1-   Make sure you device is Jailbroken. Click here to tethered Jailbreak iOS 5 using RedSnOw.

2-   Install iFile Cydia App on your device by following a procedure here

Procedure

1-   Open iFile and nevigate to the “System/Library/CoreServices/Sprinboard.app” directory.

2-   Now keep on scrolling down until you find an of the image named  “BulletinListLinen.png” or
“BulletinListLinen@2x.png”. Replace the found image with your favorite image which you to set as background of your notification center.

3-   Now nevigate to the “private/var/mobile/Library/Caches” directory.

4-   Now keep on scrolling down until you find “com.apple.SpringBoard.notificationCenterLinen” file and just delete it.

5-   Finally in order to implement these modifications, just  Respring or Reboot your device.
