Mozilla has not officially released Firefox 9.0 but officially it is available to download for Linux, Mac, and Windows. Although it is considered as one of the fastest web browser but its addons feature is simply the best among all other browsers. Now you would be wondering whats new been incorporated in the version 9.0.
Majority of the graphical UI has been remained same except introduction of Multi-touch two-finger navigation gestures which comes as part of Safari Web Browser in Mac OS X Lion operating system. Another improvement which is incorporated in Firefox 9.0 is, execution speed of JavaScript engine has been enhanced by 20 to 30% which ultimately increase your JavaScript rendering specially while loading websites such as Facebook which contains javascript on several functions.

Firefox 9.0 is backward compatible with all the addons available in Firefox 8.0 which will off course lessen your worries. Apart from that HTML 5 and CSS support, stability enhancement has been added as well in the new version.
