Facebook Messenger Update Brings Home, Favorites, and Birthday Reminder Tabs

Having 900 million users communicate with other in a month, Messenger app still failed to recognize itself independent from it’s main Facebook app. However, it seems like things are going to be changed very soon. New Facebook Messenger update is bringing tons of new features which includes  new Home, favorites and birthday reminder tabs which may minimize it dependency on main Facebook app.

New tabs will make it easier for you to view current online friends,  upcoming birthdays and list of favorite people to chat with.

I addition to that it also make it simpler and easier for you to continue the previously left conversations by viewing most recent conversations at the top. The purpose of favorites tab is to show up the list of most frequently people you usually engage with thus giving you the opportunity to start the new conversation with those. friends with.

A navigation bar has been added at the bottom which include tabs such as calls, contacts, groups, and your own personal profile. Previously it was located at top which is not replaced with a search bar.
