Exynos 4 Quad confirmed as processor for the Next Galaxy

With just a few days left till the launch of the ‘Next Galaxy’ previous rumors have been confirmed  about the processor that will run the next generation Smartphone.It has been confirmed by Samsung itself that a 1,4GHz Exynos 4 Quad processor is to power this smartphone.

The Exynos 4 Quad will enable the user to mutitask at a quicker speed,with the added benefit of less power consumption,made possible by a 32nm HKMG process,that is said to be 20% more efficient,in addition each of the 4  ARM cortex A9 cores (whose frequencies can be varied)can be switched on and off as needed.Each core is 1.4GHz.

Samsung has highlighted that due the Exynos 4 Quad users can switch more smoothly from social networking to  online gaming in addition to editing of videos,3D games .

Samsung has further reported that it is testing this new processor with other mobile handset makers as a business strategy against other competitors like Nvidia and Qualcomm.
