Download webOS 3.0.4 Update for HP TouchPad

HP TouchPad has become of the most popular and demanding device since it went on clearance sale at a price tag of $99. It was all stared when HP officially announced no further WebOS development and discontinuation of TouchPad. Right after that popular Custom Android Mod Developer Cynogen decided to bring the maximum use of HP TouchPad and demoed  CyanogenMod 7 on HP TouchPad. Things didn’t stop here, it was just a matter of time when Android 2.3 Gingerbread and WebOS dual boot followed by Android HoneyComb 3.0 port revealed.

While Android development on HP TouchPad still continues, HP has released webOS 3.0.4 update which brings some new features. These features includes new camera app, an option to pair non-webOS phones to your TouchPad, Support for OGG Vorbis music files, Online/offline messaging status support. Moreover, users will also experience better performance, better interface and support for accelerometer events in Adobe Flash Player along with more improved Skype video calling feature.

WebOS Update Procedure(Mostly Automatic)

• Make sure your HP TouchPad battery is charged to at least 30% and do not install if you are on a call.
• As soon as update is available for your HP TouchPad, you will be informed through a message send via Palm Services.
• In case you don’t receive any update message, a manual way is available to check updates by opening Updates.
• If update is available then it will be downloaded and installed automatically on your HP TouchPad.
• Make sure you are properly connected with high speed WiFi network as updates are not downloaded on a low-speed data connection.
• Even if your WiFi connection is interrupted during downloading then it will be resumed at same place when connection is available.
• Installation will take approx 15 minutes to complete.
• During installation you will not be able to use your device.
• if your device failed to complete the update procedure then it will automatically restart and repeat the
  re- installation procedure up to three times.
