Bring iOS 5 Style Notifications On Mac Using Growl [Download Now]

We have discussed it many times that developers are trying to bring close integration between iOS and Mac OS X in days ahead. In recent days we have come across quite a few apps such as Tweet from Anywhere in OS X Lion and How to always display scroll bars in Mac OS X Lion in which iOS features were copied to latest Mac OS X Lion operating system.

Now CultofMac has shared another App called Growl which allows you to get iOS 5 style Notifications on your Mac machine. Application has been created by SkyJohn one of the member of MacThemes forum and look like an almost replica of notification you see under iOS 5 on your iPhone or iPad.

So if you are interested in bringing iOS 5 style Notifications on your mac then all you have to do is head over to Mac App Store on which it is available at a price tag of $1.99. There has been an older version available which is free of cost and can be download from here but it is pertinent to mention here that Apple is bringing changes in App Store in early 2012 due to which free version won’t work with sandboxed Mac App Store apps.
