Boot loader Unlock for HTC Sensation Users Now Available at HTCdev.com

Recently, We have a covered a story about launching of HTC Developers portal called HTCdev.com. Today, they have started by announced the process of unlocking boot loader on some phones which includes  HTC Sensation, Incredible S, EVO 3D. It means users would now be able to make use of powerful root-only apps or install custom ROMs on all those smartphones which are available in unlocked boot loader list annouced by HTC.

We plan on releasing the updates that will allow you to unlock your bootloader in the coming months, please keep an eye on this website for more details on which devices will be adding this feature. HTC’s developer website has mentioned all required instructions through which you can perform the process of unlocking the boot loader on your Sensation. Website also contains warning for users by mentioning what all could go wrong if you choose to unlock the boot loader. These warning talks about your phone warranty which could go void if  it cause any damage to your device as a result of unlocking boot loader.

However, It is expected that majority of HTC phone users would not really accept this move as it is against the spirit of open source and to make peace with them again HTC would review their boot loader policy. So now you will be able to flash custom ROM on your HTC Sensation and same is expected to be available for Sensation 4G and EVO 3D in near future.
