Apple Siri Assistant Port on iPhone 4, iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4 in progress

You must be aware of the latest Siri Assistant feature that Apple had integrated into the recently released iPhone 4S iOS 5 GM Build which gives all the device control to voice commands rather than using your finger by state of the art voice recognition technology. Siri Assistant allows you to tell you iPhone 4S to tell you weather, book an appointment or meeting, text, email and nearly all the native features without even a single tap on your device’s screen. But this treat is only avaialbe for the recently launched iPhone 4S that is you have to buy this new gadget inorder to get this facility therefore Jailbreak community has outrightly started working on Siri Assistant portability on older Apple devices including iPhone 4, iPad 2 and iPod Touch 4.

The snap above clearly tell the story as Siri activated only gives an error with an activation sound on iPod Touch 4G however the famous iHackSn0w, creator of Sn0wbreeze, has already opened the task of port alongwith John Heaton. Although at this time they have just achieved activation of Siri onto older devices but certainly things will progress along time. As per iHackSn0w,

It’s definitely not just a plist value that you have to change in order to get Siri. Thus far, it has required a lot of searching and digging. After sending all the known information to John, I’m beginning to find that it is much harder than expected. We’re using an iPod touch 4G now but our aim is to port it to all devices that Apple won’t support. At this point, we’re unsure of whether Siri requires certain hardware components or not. At this point, we can’t say but are still trying. After buying the iPhone 4S myself, I will be looking to see if there are any new files that are not available on the current iOS 5 version. This might be our stopping point.
